The Department:
The Business Intelligence Department is responsible for educating and training decision makers on reports and dashboards.
Purpose of Job:
The main focus of the Data Analyst’s role will be to leverage data to deliver insight that will contribute towards driving revenue growth and reducing costs across multiple verticals. While also educating and training decision makers on reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:
- Analyze marketing campaign effectiveness. Formulate actionable tactical recommendations to increase revenue.
- Support the Sales channels and finance teams with data and analysis of opportunities.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, and partner with other teams within the business to achieve your goals.
- Monitor and identify any irregularities in data that may help to identify issues with products or operational processes.
- Deliver business insight both proactively and when requested, to help sales leadership make decisions that will maximise ROI
- Create automated reporting using dashboards to accurately measure all relevant aspects of the sales channels and allow sales reps and channel managers to monitor and drive successful performance.
- You will design and build database flows to automate your reporting using ETL tools

Essential Criteria:
- Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills with a solid understanding of data analysis techniques and technologies. The ability to combine creative use of insight and data with attention to detail, while balancing these details with the larger business objectives.
- You will have a track record of creating value by facilitating data-driven decision making.
- Proven experience as a commercial data or business analyst for an online or eCommerce / media business preferred
- SQL proficiency preferred but on- the -job training can be provided for the right candidate
- DAX, PowerBI and PowerPivot proficiency preferred
- Must be comfortable working with large volumes of data.
- Experience with data visualization tools to analyze data and publish self-service dashboards

- Excellent communication skills. The ability to listen, and deliver clear concise insight targeted to your audience, that can be understood rapidly. You will apply strong written, verbal, and data presentation skills to explain / translate complex information to non-technical executive audiences.
