Copywriter

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

‍Research:

  • Conduct research to understand the target audience, industry trends, and competitors
  • Gather information on products, services, or topics to create accurate and informative content

Audience Understanding:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the target audience's needs, preferences, and pain points
  • Tailor content to resonate with specific demographics and personas

Content Creation:

  • Write clear, concise, and compelling copy for various mediums including but not limited to emailers, banners, landing pages, websites - for both mobile and desktop
  • Craft engaging headlines, sub-headlines, body copy, CTAs etc. that capture the audience's attention

SEO Optimisation:

  • Implement SEO strategies to optimise web content for search engines, including keyword research and integration
  • Write meta descriptions, alt tags, and other SEO elements

Editing and Proofreading:

  • Review and edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and consistency
  • Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone of voice

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with designers and other team members to align copy with overall marketing and branding strategies
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders into content revisions

Adherence to Deadlines:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines for content delivery
  • Prioritise tasks effectively to ensure timely completion

Compliance and Legal Considerations:

  • Ensure that content complies with legal and ethical standards, including copyright and trademark regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Avoid plagiarism and respect intellectual property rights

Metrics and Analytics:

  • Monitor the performance of content using analytics tools to track engagement, conversion rates, and other relevant metrics
  • Use data to make informed decisions and optimise content strategies

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, writing techniques, and digital marketing best practices
  • Adapt to changes in technology and consumer behaviour
