Education & Experience
- Essential Criteria: Matric, Grade 12 with relevant accounting subjects and good results (above 70%)
- Essential Criteria: BCom in accounting or similar
- 3 –10 years post qualification experience, preferably in iGaming OR CA (SA)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage, with a demonstrated understanding and practical experience, is a prerequisite for this role
- PowerBI & Excel (at advanced level)

As the Financial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving Dream Team Gaming's financial success and strategic decision-making. You will be providing insightful analysis, comprehensive financial reporting, and proactive guidance to ensure sound financial health and growth for the business. While you navigate the dynamic iGaming landscape, you will translate complex data into actionable insights that drive profitable growth. The Department:
As a valued member of our Finance department, you will collaborate closely with our CFO and work alongside a diverse and talented team. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:
Audits:
- Collaborating with auditors to facilitate audit file preparation and efficiently address audit queries.
- Support the audit process with any related matter or analysis needed.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Partner with senior management to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with Dream Team's vision and market objectives.
- Analyse key business metrics, predict future trends, and provide insightful financial forecasts to inform strategic decisions and mitigate potential risks.
- Identify and assess opportunities for improved financial performance, implement cost-saving measures, and drive revenue growth initiatives.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Integrity & Accuracy: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of all financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Streamlining Processes: Lead the financial team in optimizing systems, workflows, and record-keeping for accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and transactions.
- Clear Communication: Translate complex financial data into clear and concise reports for stakeholders, fostering informed decision-making across all levels.
Industry-Specific Expertise:
- Navigate the intricate landscape of iGaming regulations, licensing requirements, and tax implications, ensuring complete compliance.
- Analyse player behaviour, game performance, and revenue streams to optimize product offerings, pricing strategies, and resource allocation.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and technological advancements to adapt and maintain Dream Team's competitive edge.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Design and implement robust internal controls to safeguard Dream Team's financial assets and mitigate the risk of fraud or errors.
- Foster a culture of ethical and responsible financial practices within the organization.
- Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to identify and address potential control weaknesses, ensuring compliance and best practices.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Empowering your Team: Lead and mentor your team, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth and development.

Ad-hoc duties:
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to manage and reduce costs effectively.
- Process and recon payments for invoices across the business.
- Offer input into risk identification processes and share recommendations inappropriate forums as needed.
- Assist the CFO with any financial process or task within reason.

Essential Criteria:
- Advanced skills in the full MS Office suite, including Excel
- Experience in preparing Board packs and reports
- Demonstrate reliability and accuracy; a high level of attention to detail is crucial
- Proficiency in both Sage, Quick Books and Xero, with a demonstrated understanding and practical experience in both accounting systems to the extent that JE’s can be passed
- Qualified CA or 5+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the iGaming or online casino industry
- Proven track record of success in managing complex financial operations, delivering accurate financial reporting, and implementing internal controls
- Masterful analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and trust with all stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, building a high-performing and motivated team
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting tools, specifically within the iGaming context
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and iGaming-specific compliance requirements
- A passion for the iGaming industry and a drive to contribute to Dream Team's continued growth and success
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in Vendor Management,Gaming Industry (Advantages)
